In Pursuit of Magic

My passion for electrical and firmware design, combined with my practical skills in mechanical design, has driven my career and academic pursuits. I am a highly motivated individual who thrives in hands-on environments, where I can apply my technical knowledge to solve complex problems and create innovative solutions.

Throughout my experiences, I have consistently demonstrated my ability to not only develop and design robust electrical and firmware systems but also to integrate mechanical components effectively. This multidisciplinary approach allows me to see projects from a holistic perspective, ensuring that all aspects work seamlessly together.

I take pride in my ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. My strong communication skills have been instrumental in documenting processes, presenting findings, and making data-driven recommendations. I understand the importance of clear communication in bridging the gap between technical teams and stakeholders, ensuring that projects are understood and supported at all levels.

Work Experience

Smash Palace Automotive

CAD Designer | Feb 2024 | Current

At Smash Palace Palmerston North, I used modern 3D reconstructive tools to design advanced automotive components and details. This role has strengthened my understanding of the architecture of petrol vehicles. Work I have completed ranges from small plastic and machined alloy details to structural advancements for chassis rails and suspension systems.

Massey University

Physics Laboratory Demonstrator | Feb 2023 to June 2024 | 1.5 Years

I demonstrated 100-level physics labs to Vet and Engineering students at Massey University. This role involved breaking down 100-level physics fundamentals to help students with complex practical mechanics problems.

Q-West Boat Builders

Fabricator | Nov 2023 to Feb 2024 | 400 Hours | Eng Practicum II

At Q-West boat builders I worked alongside a highly skilled team to manufacture two 30m long electric ferries.

Ali Arc Industries

Project Officer | Nov 2022 to Feb 2023 | 600 Hours | Eng Practicum I

During my time at Ali Arc Industries, I sanded and polished aluminum subcomponents for light commercial vehicle accessories. This included but was not limited to nudge bars, bull bars and roof racks. From there, I conducted research into automating this process in accordance to the five core company strategies. The results of the investigation explored many different areas of alloy sanding and polishing and studying the financial and technical feasibility.

Education

Massey University
